These kits let you delve into one of the oldest, and now most popular, forms of embroidery in the western world, cross stitch. Cross stitch, in which X-shaped stitches are used to form a picture, falls into 2 general types. It can either be done on even-weave fabric following a print-out grid of the pattern, this would be called counted cross stitch as you need to count the thread weave of the fabric to place each stitch in its proper location, or on fabric which has been printed with the pattern, called stamped cross stitch. 11"x 11" Shell Collection- Counted cross stitch.
